Car Singing

Scott Adams made my day, I thought I should pass it along.

Cute

My Apologies, it was too cute not to post.

Apocalypse Now

So yeah, apparently someone started the apocalypse and didn’t even have the decency to tell me first.

Luckily the BBC’s got pictures!

Take This!

This is worth at least a few hours of screwing around…Zelda “Take This!” Generator

Here’s my 5 minute attempt…

Do the robot

People doin’ the robot, that’s it.

Geni

This has to be one of the neatest ideas I’ve seen in a long while. It’s a collaborative genealogy app based on web 2.0 technologies (buzzwords, yum!). You fill out your family tree as you know it, putting in email addresses that you know and it’ll email those people asking them to add on what they know to the tree. I could see this potentially leading to some very interesting finds as far as relationships go (You’re a descendant of Churchill? GTFO! No way!)

Stupid People

Somehow I ended up over at SomethingAwful today (I think it was this link from Reddit…), and in browsing I stumbled across this: Retarded Customer Questions

This one made me die a little inside.

When it comes to computers, some people completely turn their mind off when they call. I can’t tell you how many time I have said something as simple as click on start and they reply back that I need to slow down because they dont have a clue.

The worst that I can remember however is one person who refused to read a single thing on a form page that consisted of her name, address and phone number.

user: Ok, it says name. What should I put there?
me: Your name.
user: Uh, ok (saying it in a unsure name) ok, address. what should I put there?
me: Are you serious?
user: I’m not technical at all.

This just in: Children understand things better than adults.

When asked what love is, children respond with better answers than I’ve heard from most adults.

“When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.”

How not to quit your job at Verizon

It’s hilarious no doubt, but I’m thinking answers to questions like this might not be the best idea:

Did you learn all you need to know to be capable of your job?

Yes, bullshitting through the interview provided me with the skills to effectively bullshit customers.  The training mostly consisted of me staring at the wall and pleasuring myself to photos of routers and LAN switches.

Well he’s no diplomat…but perhaps he’ll have a career in comedy or maybe as a senator:

Company Benefits:

I did not work there long enough to recieve any benefits.  The blonde girl in Pod G however had large breasts and I enjoyed looking at them every time I went on break.

MacWorld

Apple announced the iPhone and it’s amazing.  Engadget’s got a pretty good gallery of it as well.  Apple also announced the AppleTV which is neat and will probably sell boatloads, but doesn’t blow me away like the iPhone does.  iPhone looks to take everything that’s wrong with phones from the last decade and make it right.  Microsoft, RIMM (Blackberry), and Palm have had years to get the interface and software right, then Apple just swooped in and ate their lunch, their brunch, even their dinner.  At the very least I’m hoping this will force some innovation in the mobile phone market instead of the stagnant crap we’ve had so far.  600$ is like being kicked in the balls though.  Here’s hoping the prices don’t stick as well as the rest of Apple’s products.
